Artwork by Dave Kramer

There once was a boy who grew up and followed his dream to become an artist. His grandmother would have preferred a plumber.

As a young man, I pursued painting because of the worlds I saw created by other artists and I wanted to be a part of that. For me the most enjoyable part of painting is the process. I get to come up with ideas, make costumes, do photo shoots, work with fun/creative people, and then paint. After 30 years of being a full-time artist, I still love creating those worlds.

This site covers many years of my life as an artist. I enjoy dabbling in many different creative directions, but painting has been my main occupation for the last 30 years. In that time I've gone from airbrush illustrations, to book covers, and then to fine art oil paintings and portraiture.
